Renting in Summit — neighborhood guide

Apartment hunt — what I'm optimizing for

Priorities: 1) Commute to office ≤ 30 min. 2) Rent ≤ $2,600. 3) In-unit or building laundry. 4) Pet friendly (Mango). Nice-to-have: balcony or big windows, gym, quiet bedrooms, near a grocery store. Open floor plan for WFH setup. Tour blockers: north-facing windows, no AC, elevator-only buildings.

SMS thread — mom apartment tips

Mom: 'Ask about what's included. Water, gas, trash all add up here.' 'Go to a building coffee hour if they have one — best way to meet neighbors.' 'Take photos of every unit before you sign.' Solid reminders.
